Trail use & community terms

Email choices

Marketing emails are optional and separate from accepting these terms. You may choose guides, hiking reminders and gear offers, and withdraw that choice at any time without losing your account. Account security and password-reset messages are separate from marketing.

Explore thoughtfully.

HikerQuests is an independent personal tracker. Challenge organizations decide eligibility, fees and patch fulfillment. A completed checklist or GPS check-in is not official certification.

Routes, access, weather and trail conditions change. Community reports and downloaded maps may be incomplete or outdated. Check land-manager notices, carry the essentials, respect closures and private property, and bring independent navigation. This app is not an emergency or rescue service. Do not rely on browser GPS for uninterrupted tracking.

Post only photos and route data you have the right to share. By submitting content for public display, you permit HikerQuests to host, resize and display it for that purpose. Do not post harassment, private information, fabricated hazard reports or directions that encourage trespass. Content may be moderated or removed.

Use the service only if you are 18 or older. Do not share other people’s precise locations without their permission. The operator can suspend abusive accounts. Site content does not guarantee safety, access, a patch award or search-engine ranking.
