Build my hiking day

This planner covers four collections: Upper Delaware, Downstate Fire Lookout 5er, Catskills Adventure and CMC. It does not include every hike on HikerQuests. Search all hikes →

Pick a trail, work on a patch, and leave room for a town stop. Start with one good outing; add more only when the drive and daylight work.

Four more reasons to get outside

Already hiked these? Open a guide to log a past qualifying visit and add your photos. The organizer handles official patch applications.

Time filters use a rough allowance of 1.5 miles per hour plus 30 minutes, rounded up to a half-hour. They do not account for terrain, weather, stops or driving. Hikes without a single verified route distance are excluded when a distance or time limit is selected. Confirm the full route and add a personal margin.

A local day without rushing the hike

Wurtsboro: start with the ridge

Use the Roosa Gap guide to choose your approach, then decide whether a village stop fits after the walk. Treat a canal visit as its own destination with its own parking and hours. Old roads visible on a historic map are not automatically public routes today.

Upper Delaware: choose a stretch of river

Pick your first trail before adding a second. The patch collection crosses the New York–Pennsylvania border, and two points that look close on a map may require a bridge detour. Save directions and maps while you have service.
