1900s · 1909

DEC’s fire tower study connects the major Adirondack fires of 1903 and 1908 with the development of fire observation, including a Mount Morris tower in 1909. Try reading a panorama as a working view. What could an observer see, and what might terrain conceal? The study is historical context, not a current tower-access guide; this reference point represents the surrounding area.
