Forestburgh Dove Trail

Two numbered doves make a manageable list to pair with another local outing. They have different addresses, so check both before you depart. If you plan to combine the day with a performance, confirm tickets, timing and venue access directly with the host.

Independent HikerQuests sightseeing challenge. No hiking mileage or official patch is awarded. Location sources checked October 3, 2026.

Your Dove Trail checklist

0 unique dove visits recorded in your account. Your personal goal can be a handful of stops, one area or the wider numbered collection.

The 85-number register includes unavailable and unresolved entries. The planner excludes flagged locations from automatic suggestions. A saved itinerary is not a visit, and “listed” is not a live opening-status report.

    Make a day of it

Start with the stops you most want to see, leave room for a town walk or lunch, and treat outlying venues as optional additions. A short list gives you time to enjoy the artwork and share a thoughtful recommendation afterward.

    How the trail began

The county’s launch announcement describes the dove project as a tribute to Woodstock’s 50th anniversary, with local communities hosting painted sculptures. Read the county’s original announcement for the project’s background.

    What about the official GeoTour?

SCVA separately describes a Dove Trail GeoTour involving selected doves and a collectible geocoin. Logging sightseeing visits here does not fulfill those requirements. Check the official GeoTour for current participation and reward availability.
