Make returning part of the idea
Give each visit a theme instead of a quota: a first coastal outlook, a woodland afternoon, then a focused return to unfinished connections. These are planning themes rather than prescribed routes. Your choice still depends on the current map, your available time and the people walking with you.
Define completion before you start
For this personal challenge, a checkmark means you have walked the full open named trail, possibly in sections across visits. Cliff Trail needs section notes if you split it up. The 1A entry combines several disconnected paths, so do not mark it finished after trying just one. Never enter a closure to fill a checklist.
Keep a useful field record
Record dates and start/end junctions for partial outings in your trip notes. An imported track may help you review a day, but proximity to a map line does not automatically certify completion. The final checkmark remains your deliberate self-report.
Share the story, choose the audience
The map here shows your own account progress when you sign in. Sharing the page sends the public guide, not a live personal location. Your existing profile and activity privacy controls still apply to logs and photos; review them before publishing a trip story.
