Give each landscape its own day
The Delaware Valley and Pocono Plateau offer different ways to spend time outside. Milford’s ridge viewpoints, Dingmans-area ravines, McDade river sections and Promised Land lake walks should not all be squeezed into one rushed itinerary. Select one main outing and keep any extra stop flexible.
A waterfall name is not an access plan
Different trails can reach different parts of the same creek. Upper and Lower Hornbecks, for example, have separate approaches and no open through-connection. Dingmans Falls has a published construction closure. Read the individual guide’s dated notice and the official update before choosing the drive.
Share the useful details
A photograph draws attention; an entrance name and an honest description help someone act on it. Include your actual approach, whether you returned the same way and what the group found difficult. A short woodland walk belongs in your hiking story just as much as a longer ridge day.
